1. Highway Through Buildings!
Did you know that there is a highway that goes through a building in Japan! It passes through a 16 story building in Osaka, Japan. There are lots of roads that pass under buildings all over the world, but this is different. The road connects two elevated highways, passing through the Gate Tower building five stories up!
2. A Train That Floats!
In Japan, there is a train called Maglev, that “floats” above the tracks by magnetism, reaching 550km/h (311 mph). Maglev is short for magnetic levitation. The guidance magnets repel the magnetic coils running along the guideway, enabling the train to levitate 1 to 10 cm above the guideway! The trains travel so fast that they can cross the distance of about 20 football fields in the span of only a few seconds! This train is a proof that Japan is the most developed country!
3. The Unemployment Rate Is Shocking!
Japan is among those countries which have the least amount of unemployment! The unemployment rate in Japan stood at 2.8 percent in April of 2017! Now you can understand why Japan is the most developed country!

5. Oldest Company in The World!
The world’s oldest company operated in Japan from 578 AD to 2006! Kongō Gumi Co., Ltd., is a Japanese construction company which was the world’s oldest continuously ongoing independent company, operating for over 1,400 years. It was absorbed as a subsidiary of Takamatsu in 2006.
